2007 NHS JV Volleyball
NHS JV Wins Tournament
Niceville High School Freshman and JV volleyball teams competed in the Ft Walton Beach Viking JV Volleyball Tournament on September 8, 2007.  Eight teams from the Panhandle competed. Niceville JV won the tournament and NHS Freshman made it to the semi-finals. JV Champions pictured in the bottom row: Montana Hobbs, Carissa Hagberg, Karson Hinds, Meghan Suydan, top row:  Coach Ramona Maraman, Taylor Boisjolie, Olivia Bascom, Lindsey Schoewe, Lindsey Harrison, Kacie Stone and Coach Willie Mailoto. Eaglettes win awards
The Eaglettes, Niceville High School’s dance team, recently attended the Universal Dance Association camp at the University of Alabama winning several first place awards, including first place in Home and Team Routines. Eaglette seniors Stephanie Dunlop, Miranda Graham, Brooke Stewart and Ally Wyman competed and were chosen as All Stars with an opportunity to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The senior dancers also competed and were invited to perform in Paris with All-Stars from around the United States. Additionally, senior Stephanie Dunlop won the Drill Down Queen and coach Brooke Harrison walked away with the Coaching Award. The team is coached by Brooke Harrison and choreographed by Jill Kerschitz. (Sept. 07)
 


The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club has proudly welcomed new member James Plew Ruckel (center). Ruckel was inducted into the club by his father, Jim Ruckel, (right) and his grandfather, Walt Ruckel (left), during a wonderfully unique installation ceremony featuring three generations of the Ruckel family.
