Hammock Bay has record sales month in July

Hammock Bay in Freeport has announced that it has had a record sales month. Sonny Eustace, Sales Manager for Hammock Bay Real Estate LLC, said they sold 20 homes in July, beating their previous best month in June. Sales in the pipeline for August are also at record levels, indicating that this is not just a blip, said Eustace.

Developers of the 3000-acre, master-planned community, on the North Shore of Choctawhatchee Bay, have also announced that two major builders have joined the ranks of award-winning constructors at the site.

Huff Builders Inc., of Destin, famous for its Carson Oaks and Church Street Station developments of Nantucket Cottage style homes, and James Brown Builders Inc, of Panama City, have committed to build in the newly released Schooner Landing neighborhood.

James Brown, of James Brown Builders, and his wife Vicky, were in retirement but then saw Hammock Bay. In James’ words, "I saw Hammock Bay and it lit a fire in my belly!"

Huff and Brown join award-winning builders Turner Heritage, D.R.Horton, Signature, Doug Palmer, Marlin Homes and Harbor Builders in creating homes on this fabulous pallet. All have recognized the amazing combination of amenities, beautiful environment and location close to all that the Emerald Coast has to offer.

Eustace said in the past only very exclusive communities had access to the types of facilities that exist at Hammock Bay.

"Now the first time buyer, the young military couple, or the young couples with children, can have swimming pools, fitness center, a lake club and huge playground all for their exclusive use’" said Eustace. "All at price that they can easily afford, with home prices from the $190’s to the $600’s."

Hammock Bay is the creation of Jay and Hayley Odom, who were responsible for Destiny by the Sea, where a home recently sold for $10 million. Jay Odom commented that far from the stagnation seen in other projects in the area, Hammock Bay can’t build homes fast enough.

New residents are coming from Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, Destin, South Walton and Crestview, as well as from out of state. Many people are reporting that traffic issues, and the amazing value Hammock offers compared to other areas, are making them look to Hammock Bay. After seeing the life-style, amenities and the commitment to the environment, many say they simply cannot buy anywhere else. Another reported benefit is that the amenities exist now and are not simply promises.

Asked why he thought Hammock Bay was succeeding where others were not, Odom said "It is a combination of the right homes, endless amenities, fabulous location and right price – all available now".

"Don’t buy a home without visiting Hammock Bay – once you see it, you’ll always want to be on Hammock time," added Odom.
