February 2008 US Airways introduces flights to Charlotte, N.C. NICEVILLE, FL - On April 6, US Airways will begin operations from the Okaloosa Regional Airport with three daily non-stop flights to the airlines’ largest hub, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, N.C.“The entire Gulf Coast is showing exciting growth,” said US Airways Direct of Express Planning, Jason Reisinger. “We are thrilled to bring more vacationers, business travelers and military personnel to the Fort Walton Beach/Destin area while also offering the local residents from Niceville to Navarre worldwide travel options through our Charlotte hub.” Flights will depart Okaloosa Regional Airport at 6:20 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. Flights will arrive in Okaloosa from Charlotte at 10:52 a.m., 3:40 p.m. and 8:44 p.m. The flights to Charlotte are approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes in length The new service will be operated by US Airways Express using 50-seat CRJ200 regional jet aircraft.
