The days leading up to - and through - the Labor Day holiday are typically a time when Florida sees a sharp increase in the number of DUI arrests, DUI injury crashes, and DUI fatalities.

In an effort to try to increase safety on local roads, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office took part in a number of DUI Saturation Patrols August 17^th through September 3^rd.  The effort was part of a national Labor Day DUI Enforcement Mobilization.

During the crackdown, Okaloosa County deputies made 29 DUI arrests and issued 802 citations.
