NICEVILLE, FLORIDA - Former Niceville City Councilman Gary Brown has died. He was 69.

Brown, who served on the council for 24 years until he left office in 2005, died August 22 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

The longtime city leader served in the Air Force for 20 yeas, retiring as a senior master sergeant. He also spent 20 years working in the defense industry.
