NICEVILLE, FLORIDA - Michelle A. Severino has been selected as the new director of the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida by the Okaloosa County Board of Commissioners

Serverino is a returning Niceville native with a background in education and exhibit work. She is an instructor with Okaloosa-Walton College teaching adult and advanced high school students, as well as planning and coordinating education programs, workshops, lectures and exhibits. Severino plans to continue working both with the museum and the college to develop mutually beneficial programs and to introduce new audiences to the many historical and cultural resources the Heritage Museum offers to county citizens.

The Okaloosa County Board of Commissioners supports the operations of the Heritage Museum in Okaloosa County by providing and funding a full-time museum director. Severino officially started work at the museum on Jan. 18.
