Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club installs officers, contributes funds

The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club recently installed its officers for 2007-08. In addition, the club last month donated more than $1,400 to two community endeavors.

New officers are:
President – Greg Smith
President Elect – Carla Reinlie
Secretary – David Dowden
Treasurer – Ronnie Shell
Sergeant at Arms – Stan Peters
Past President – Peter Loffler
Public Relations – Bill Readdy & Phil Van Houten, Bill Higginbotham
President Elect – Carla Reinlie
Membership – Scott Summerlin, James Campbell
Director at Large – Shirley Daniel
Rotary Foundation – Lisa Burger
Community Service – Lynda Prestarri
Executive Secretary – Jimmie Boisjolie
 

The club recently presented the Heritage Museum with a check for $1,130. Members of the Rotary Club raised the money during the annual Saturday in the Park festivities.

Also, club President Greg Smith has presented $308 to the NaGISA project of Niceville High School on behalf of the club members.

The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club meets each Thursday at noon at Okaloosa-Walton College in building K.

The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club has proudly welcomed new member James Plew Ruckel (center). Ruckel was inducted into the club by his father, Jim Ruckel, (right) and his grandfather, Walt Ruckel (left), during a wonderfully unique installation ceremony featuring three generations of the Ruckel family. The Niceville Valparaiso Rotary Club meets on Thursdays at noon in Building K at Okaloosa Walton College.

Newly installed officers

 

Club President Greg Smith presents $308 to Jordan Ezell for students involved in the NaGISA project at Niceville High School. Jordan is one of the seven students traveling to Africa to assist with the establishment of a high school NaGISA program in Zanzibar.
